History

South & Associates, P.C. was incorporated on September 19, 1995, and the firm commenced operations on December 1, 1995 after the separation of Hamann & South, P.C. The firm consisted of four attorneys and nine staff, and occupied Suite 290 at 9233 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO. On January 1, 2000, the firm moved to the Plaza, occupying Suite 801 at 4600 Madison.

On January 1, 2003 the firm established an office in St. Louis. On August 1, 2005 the firm acquired The Law Offices of Robert E. Lastelic, and on September 1, 2005 the firm acquired Mellor & Miller, PA, establishing an office in Wichita, Kansas. On December 27, 2005 the firm moved its corporate headquarters to the former Sprint Campus building at 6363 College Blvd in Overland Park, KS. On March 1, 2007 the firm moved its St. Louis Office to Suite 1660 at 800 Market St. On March 17, 2008, the Wichita Office was moved to its current location in Suite 400 at 245 N. Waco St. In late April of 2009, the firm established an office in Omaha, Nebraska in Suite 101 at 1823 Harney Street. And most recently, May 2011, South & Associates established an office in West Des Moines, Iowa in Suite 120 at 1245 Jordan Creek Parkway.

Today, South & Associates, P.C. is staffed with over thirty attorneys and over one hundred and thirty staff members located in five offices throughout Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa.
